Those who live, work, worship or attend school, businesses or other legal entities in Delaware and Chester County in Pennsylvania. Additionally, employees of the Credit Union and members of the immediate family or household of any of the foregoing.

No. Your account numbers will remain the same.

Your existing login credentials, access to account information, bill payments, and scheduled transactions will remain the same. The only difference you will see is the new logo, updated features and enhancements that will be added over time. 

No. All transactions will continue to process as usual. You will not have to change or update any existing scheduled transactions.

No. Our routing number remains the same: 231385701. 

Our name change and expansion allows us to expand on offering top-notch products and services, competitive rates, and furthers our commitment to better serve you and our membership through more branches, ATM’s, and enhanced digital channels.

Yes, our new website,, will be launching soon to provide you with an improved member experience and access to detailed information on your desktop, tablet, or phone.

Yes, we will be opening an office in West Chester in September 2024. The address is 1 Five Points Road, West Chester, PA 19380.

Yes.  Since account and routing numbers are not changing, you can continue to use your existing checks without disruption. When it comes time to order new checks, you can order them through digital banking or in-branch with the new logo.

Your current debit card will work as normal until you receive and activate your new debit cards, which will be received in late July. Your new card will feature advanced functionalities like contactless payments and other benefits designed to make your financial transactions smoother and more convenient. Look for detailed information regarding your new debit card early July.

Your existing BHCU credit cards will not be affected and everything will continue to work as it has. Looking ahead to 2025, we plan on providing you a new and improved credit card program with more features and benefits. We’ll share more updates soon, but for now, there is no need for you to do anything different with your BHCU and iSAVE credit cards.

Yes, as part of our name change we will update our membership package, which includes your member agreement and disclosures. A new membership agreement packet will be coming soon with your quarterly statement. 

No. Any loans you have through BHCU are not affected and the existing loan terms will remain the same.

No. The name change has no effect on our great rates, including the high yield iSAVE savings account. 

No. Just like BHCU, Propell deposits are Federally Insured by NCUA up to $250,000.  In addition, Propell maintains an additional $250,000 in deposit insurance with Excess Share Insurance (“ESI”) meaning your deposits with us are insured up to $500,000.  That’s most likely 2x the insurance coverage you’re getting elsewhere. Be sure to talk with your favorite credit union representative to learn more about maximizing your deposit insurance coverage.
