Founded in 1952 in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, BHCU is a federally insured credit union that provides comprehensive banking services to its members.

Originally established to serve employees of Boeing (formally Vertol) and their family members. BHCU recently expanded to a community-based credit union, exclusively serving persons who live, work, worship or attend school and businesses or other legal entities located within the counties of Delaware and Chester in Pennsylvania, employees of the Credit Union and members of the immediate family or household of any of the foregoing; and organizations of such persons.

Throughout our history, we have maintained an unwavering commitment to helping members save, offering excellent rates and dividends, fair fees and expert advice.

How a Credit Union is Different

A credit union is a non-profit organization. That means any profit we make comes back to benefit you, in the form of annual dividends, quality product offerings, low fees, great rates, and exceptional service. Because we don’t serve the general public like banks we can focus on best serving our members. With a volunteer Board of Directors of BHCU members serving as trusted advisors, every decision we make is with you in mind.

Belonging means we are on the journey with our members.  Therefore, our success belongs to you, our members…Since 2009, as a reward for member loyalty, BHCU has demonstrated this commitment with a year-end special dividend.  We’ve given back over $2 million to our members already!
