Now in its fourth year, BHCU is thrilled to host our Annual Golf Classic on October 10th, 2022, presented by the BHCU Kids Foundation, benefiting the Hope for Children Fund at Radnor Valley Country Club. Through our organization’s efforts, we strive to improve the quality of life for everyone in the Delaware County community, especially our at-risk youth. We believe through educational endeavors, employment opportunities, and physical activity programs, we can help support our most at-risk juveniles in the community, recognizing that they are our future. Our annual Golf Classic presents a day of community-wide fun through the game of golf while supporting our Hope for Children Fund and concludes with a cocktail hour, dinner, and awards ceremony. 

How BHCU Helps the Youth of Delaware County 

The BHCU Kids Foundation, in partnership with The Community’s Foundation (TCF), aims to combat crises and provide hope for the children in our community in direct support of the Hope for Children Fund. The fund will assist abused and neglected children across the Delaware County area and provide services to the most vulnerable. We recognize the opportunities available to today’s youth; we’ve made it our mission to create capable, responsible, and healthy young adults who will be figureheads in our community. 

This year will be no different than years past; through our community’s support and charitable donations, we hope to be the voice for the underprivileged and provide essential items for children escaping dangerous living situations. The BHCU Kids Foundation 4th Annual Golf Classic will be a great day of golf to support the BHCU Kids Foundation Hope for Children Fund. The day will consist of golf, fun contests, including a $10,000 hole-in-one prize and a $5,000 putting contest, team prizes, and an awards dinner for our community of supporters. Why Should You Contribute to the Hope for Children Fund?

Established in 2019, the BHCU Kids Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization counseled by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Foundation was created because of the startling statics surrounding child abuse and related fatalities in Delaware County. Did you know that:

• Delaware County had 1,307 reports of child abuse in 2019.
• Three abuse near fatalities occurred in Delaware County in 2019.
• 13% of Delaware County’s youth face food insecurity.
• 13% of Delaware County’s youth live in poverty.

Since 2019, the charity has operated under a single mission; to strengthen the Delaware County community by providing programs and support for the most at-risk members, the youth. The BHCU Kids Foundation aims to fill the gap so our disadvantaged youth can go on to lead fulfilling lives.
