The BHCU Kids Foundation was established and chartered in 2019. Classified as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, we are a non-profit administered by a volunteer Board of Directors. This organization began with a simple mission of strengthening the Delaware County community by seeking to provide programs and support for our most at-risk residents, our youth.
Since our inception, we have partnered with local organizations to provide essential support to children in crisis. Over the past five years, we have sponsored volunteers and court-appointed advocates to represent children through CASA Youth Advocates. We have helped mothers and children stay safe by providing funds for housing, safe houses, and general operating support for organizations like the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County, The Sunshine Foundation, City Team Chester, and Pathways PA. Further, we have supported educational endeavors supporting the Chester Education Foundation through in-kind donations and provided multiple schools with book bags filled with school supplies so that students have the tools to learn. Children are our future and assisting them when they need it most aids them in becoming capable, responsible, and healthy young adults.
Our foundation’s purpose is to support the most vulnerable population of our community, at-risk youth who are exposed to poverty, abuse, hunger, drugs, and other risk factors that can negatively impact youth development. However, this operation requires the support of community members like you.
An opportunity to support our mission is through our annual BHCU Kids Foundation Golf Classic. This event, our primary fundraiser for the BHCU Kids Foundation, will be held on October 9, 2023, at the Radnor Valley Country Club. The day includes golf, contests, team prizes, awards, dinner, and raffle prizes. All proceeds will go directly to the BHCU Kids Foundation Hope for Children Fund.
